Even More PATH

This is my thing (I'm not sure whether its a report or an essay or what) on education in Palestine and Israel. Enjoy!

Education in Israel and Palestine
There are three types of schools in Palestine. Depressingly they are divided by gender. Boys’ schools, girls’ schools, and (could you possibly guess what's next?) boy/girl schools. In the Palestine schools basic education is like a mix of Elementary School and Middle School. Basic Ed. does Grades 1 to 10. After that is grades Grades 11 and 12, which is like High School or Higher School or something like that. This education system is much more like ours than Israel because in Palestine kids jump from school to school as they get older.

Schools in Israel are more like boarding schools. They are divided into four different types: state, state-religious, Independent schools, and Arab. There are also private schools that teach only what parents want their kids to teach or are based on a school from a different country. Most of Israeli children attend state schools. State-religious schools mostly have kids from the Orthodox group and have more Jewish studies and programs and talk a lot about tradition and what-not. The Independant schools focus almost completely on Torah study and offer basically nothing on math, science, and all that other stuff they teach at normal schools. Schools in the Arab group teach in Arabic (surprise, surprise) and teach about Arabic history and culture.
