Welcome to 2012! The new year seems a little wet, but other than that, no problems so far. The year is welcoming those in west michigan in what soon may be a full fledged blizzard, and, more importantly, our nativity fell over. Not as "stable " as you might think. Wow. A pun. I must be getting desperate.
Anyway, "The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe" was awesome, with talking natural christmas trees and what-not. Very christmasy and all. But of course the main thing of all main things is that the Golden family watched all three of the "Lord of the Rings" extended editions over christmas! If you saw it in the theatre you might be thinking: "Woah, dude, why watch those movies over christmas?!!! They're totally intense man!" or if you aren't a surfer dude: "Why watch those movies over christmas? They're pretty intense!"
As it happens, the director of the movies was all "If I want to do all the good stuff for the movies, it'll go to long, so I should just put the good stuff in the extended edition when it comes out!" And he did. So these versions not only have the intense, scary parts from the theatrical version, it also has funny parts, light hearted parts, and, best of all, more Legolas and Gimli! Woo-Hoo!
Happy Epiphany/my birthday!
